Canned Raspberry Jam

Over the past couple of days I harvested the remainder of the raspberry crop from our patch in the backyard. It totaled to four cups of crushed raspberries. I cooked up some more jam and then successfully canned it in mason jars (my first time canning anything). I'm very psyched that we'll get to continue enjoying our raspberries for many months!

Today's haul of Raspberries was cooked up into about a pint of delicious raspberry jam. Can't wait to try it tomorrow!

Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil

For Cyndi's birthday, my mom sent her some Olivier Arbequina extra virgin olive oil from Napa Valley. It has to be one of the best tasting olive oils I've ever had! Cyndi's been cooking with it and it imparts a wonderful nutty/fruity flavor to sauteed vegetables. My favorite way to enjoy it is with a piece of fresh baguette dipped in it...delicious!

Another Great Day

Cyndi's parents Don and Shirley are in town for a couple of days to visit with us before heading to Don's high school reunion in Leominster MA. We spent most of the day driving around with Shirley looking at properties and cars. Had dinner at the Red Hook Brewery in Dover NH. Here are some pics from the day taken with my new Nikon D700. This camera kicks ass!
