Hello there!
In September of 2008, I started working full time for the Defense Logistics Agency as a Quality Assurance Evaluator at the Defense Distribution Center, Guam Marianas. I am also the Safety and Environmental Officer, and have assumed quite a bit of responsibility overnight. It feels good to be working again, its been quite some time since I had a real job!
Life in Guam is exciting, and in my free time I keep pretty busy skateboarding with my boys, spearfishing with my dive buddies, hanging out at home, and updating this blog.
We live on Naval Base Guam in family housing and although our home is smaller than what we were used to in the states, we have adjusted nicely and enjoy the conveniences of living on base. We are just minutes away from the commissary, the Navy Exchange, and the Sumay Cove Marina were I keep my boat. This fall, a new elementary school opened on base, so now Andrew and Jonathan are able to walk to and from school, no more busses! My job at DDGM is also a short 3 minute commute from the house; where can you find a commute like that in the states?
I use this blog to keep in touch with friends and family, post fishing reports, and write about just about anything else that catches my attention. I have a variety of interests including technology, science, medicine, spearfishing, photography, among many others.
On weekends, you'll find me out on my boat fishing or spearfishing with some of the great friends that I've made here in Guam. Guam has an amazing variety and abundance of ocean life, and I have gotten hooked, no pun intended, on fishing.
I'm glad you stopped by and please take a few minutes to poke around the blog. Enjoy!!

Randy,
I found a short article that I thought you would find interesting.
