I went for a short hike this evening after work with Sophia in the back pack. I followed the trail that leads into the jungle by the old Trans-Pacific Cable Station near our house. There are a couple of overgrown structures that are the remains of the private homes of the cable station employees tucked away back in the jungle. The real jem of the trail is this Japanese Coastal Defense Gun perched on the ridge line above San Luis Beach. I've lived here 2.5 years and had no idea that it was there. A cool find!
