Hello everyone! Its been a while since I've gotten anything up on the blog...sorry, i've been really busy. Work is going well; I got a promotion about five weeks ago! I now have a lot more responsibility and am managing the entire surveillance program for the government contract that our office oversees. I will be traveling to the states for a conference in Aug, but will only be there for a week. I don't want to miss out upcoming new arrival.
Cyndi's pregnancy is going very well, and we are anticipating welcoming the new addition to the family sometime around the 3rd of September. Lots of preparation and nest-building going on around here.
We've decided to stay in Guam one more year. Cyndi has requested an extension of her tour until August of 2010. With my job going so well, and the economic outlook in the states being what it is, we decided to stay another year and bank some more money. We're not sure where we'll be heading next, but as soon as we know we'll let all of our friends and family know.
I haven't been fishing too much lately. The trolling has been mediocre, however, we have had some luck spearfishing. Myself and some friends will be participating in the upcoming Guam Spearfishing Challenge on the weekend of August 8-9. We will dive off my boat, and if we're lucky, we might happen upon a prize-winning fish! Here's a pic of my buddy Ken with a 36 lb Sweetlips that he shot while we were spearfishing at Santa Rosa Reef.
Andrew and Jonathan are doing great. Andrew has being enjoying his summer of independence and I'm very proud to say that he has been extremely responsible and well behaved. He participated in a skate camp put on by the MWR, and has been making huge strides with his skills. Jonathan has been attending the Camp Adventure that is run by the CDC. He has been going on a field trip every week. He seems to have been enjoying his time there and consistently comes home with good behavior awards.
