On the 26th of December, we had visitors arrive from the mainland!
Grandma Eileen and Grandpa Hal! They stayed for two weeks and we had a wonderful visit. The boys were out of school almost the whole visit, and Cyndi and I took some time off from work too. We had a great time. We went all over the island and visited lots of cool places. We did some of the typical touristy things, but also hit some unique off the beaten path places that were very nice. We got out on the water a couple of times. We went on a cruise of Southern Guam by boat and then toured Northern Guam while fishing for Mahi Mahi and Wahoo. The seas were calm and they were beautiful days on the water. Grandpa and Grandma each caught their very first Wahoo! We caught a lot of fish and spent a couple hours frolicking at one of our favorite spots, Double Reef. Grandma and Grandpa had plenty of time to do some exploring on their own. Although Guam doesn't have the most abundant bird population, Grandma and Grandpa caught some glimpses of some new birds for them. On our fishing trip, they were even treated to an aerial display of Red Footed Boobies chasing flying fish that had been scared out of the water by jumping Mahi Mahi.
